Veggie burgers

Cornbeast’s super-awesome veggie burgers

These veggie burgers are the result of years of experimenting. There are a few parameters you need to get right, the taste, the nutrition value, the consistency. They have to stick together and be chewy, they have to be made from natural healthy ingredients.

Ingredients:

4 potatoes
1 deciliter bulgur
1 onion
2 garlic cloves
2 cans of kidney beans
1 can of chick-peas/garbanzo beans
1 can of black beans
1 egg
4 deciliters of grated cheese
A few tablespoons potato flour
1/2 deciliters of breadcrumbs
Salt
Pepper
Chili
Paprika spice
Fresh parsley

Boil the potatoes. Boil the bulgur with some bouillon or salt. Chop the onion, the garlic, the beans and the chick-peas into small pieces. Put it in a big bowl. Mash the potatoes and add it. Add the grated cheese, bulgur, the egg, the potato flour, the breadcrumbs, the spices and herbs.

Taste it before you bring it to the frying pan. It’s a burger so you want it to have lots of taste. Add enough chili. The paprika spice adds nice color.

Shape like burgers, not too big, we don’t want them to be bigger than the bread. Also, make sure you squeeze hard when doing this so they stick together.

Fry in a cast-iron frying pan with lots of oil.

Serve them in hamburger breads with all good things you can think of; cheese, avocado slices, sprouts, tomato, salad, onion, pickled cucumber, cole slaw.
